I have been reading a book called If I Ever Get Out Of Here. I have almost read half the book and I am very interested to find out what happens next. Before I make any connections to the book I suppose I should tell you what I has sort of happened or what the book is about. So far I have found out that the main character lives on a reservation. His name is Lewis and he has a best friend that lives on the reservation as well but he also a best friend that doesn't live on the reservation and he just knows him through school. Lewis's friend that lives on the reservation name is Carson and the friend that lives off the reservation is George. A little bit about Lewis is that he is really into music he has two favourite bands which are The Beatles and Wings. I can make some connections to the book because in some ways I am like Lewis you see I don't live on a reservation but I do have to best friend one I go to school with and one that I've known since I was little which is like lewis. Another thing that I can connect to with Lewis is that him and George have never really got in to a fight which is the same with my friend from school I but Lewis has gotten in to fights with Carson whom he has known all his life which is the same with me. Now in the middle of the book lewis gets to go to a concert with George in Toronto and he has never been to a concert but it also just happens to be his favourite bad Wings. I can connect to that and I bet other people in the world can too when you find out that your going to see you favourite band in concert and you get so excited and take everything single thing in well thats just like Lewis when he found to that he was going to a concert and he did that exact same thing go really excited and at the concert he took every single thing that happened in because he wanted to remember it all. Those are just a few things that I connected to through out the book so far yes a lot of text to self connections but thats all that really stood out for me.
